Super excited to have presented our latest work, "Ballooning membrane actuator-based intrinsic force sensing and control," at The Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics 2025 in London this week! | Mirroyal Ismayilov
Super excited to have presented our latest work, "Ballooning membrane actuator-based intrinsic force sensing and control," at The Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics 2025 in London this week! 🎈🤖 It was an incredible experience to be surrounded by the brightest minds and to share our vision for the future of medical robotics. A huge thank you to my supervisors Lukas Lindenroth and Christos Bergeles for their valuable guidance. And of course, thank you to the organizers at Hamlyn Centre for Robotic Surgery for a phenomenal symposium. Feeling inspired and excited for what's next! E🇨🇭citing Times at RoboSoft 2025! 🤖 I’m thrilled to share that I just attended IEEE RoboSoft in Lausanne, where I had the incredible opportunity to present our research paper: "A Generalized Modeling Approach to Liquid-driven Ballooning Membranes." https://lnkd.in/etauQUFt In this paper we demonstrated a novel modeling approach for liquid-driven ballooning membranes, employing an ellipsoid approximation to model shape and stretch under planar deformation. Relying solely on intrinsic feedback from pressure data and controlled liquid volume, this approach enables membrane state estimation. A huge thanks to my supervisors Lukas Lindenroth and Christos Bergeles and team member Jeref Merlin for their kind support. The conference was a fantastic platform to exchange ideas! Looking forward to expanding our work and coming up with more impactful results! #RoboSoft2025 #SoftRobotics #IEEE
